SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Jake Fox had two hits and two RBI Saturday, leading the Chicago Cubs to a 6-2 win over San Francisco.
His first hit was a two-run single with no outs and the bases loaded in the top of the third.
Aramis Ramirez hit a solo homer and scored twice.
Geovany Soto had two hits and one RBI.
Kosuke Fukudome hit a sixth-inning RBI double, while Reed Johnson added two hits for the Cubs, who have won six of seven, but trail Colorado by six games in he National League wild-card race.
Winner Tom Gorzelanny (7-2) gave up a run and five hits in five innings with three walks and five strikeouts.
Juan Uribe led San Francisco with three hits -- one a solo homer -- and two RBI.
Four others had one hit each for the Giants, who have lost six of eight and trail the Rockies by 5 1/2 games.
The losing pitcher was starter Barry Zito (10-13).
