COL FB: Missouri 31, Nevada 21

RENO, Nev., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Blaine Gabbert threw for 412 yards and three touchdowns Friday to lead No. 21 Missouri to a 31-21 victory over Nevada.

Gabbert hit Danario Alexander with a 31-yard scoring throw with 2:09 to play in the second quarter to give the Tigers a 12-7 halftime advantage.

After Nevada took the lead in the third period, Gabbert found Alexander again for a 74-yard score that put Missouri in front for good.

Gabbert's final touchdown pass, a 4-yarder to Jared Perry, gave the Tigers a 28-13 lead with 10:07 to play.

Grant Ressel added four field goals for the Tigers -- from 21, 31, 27 and 26 yards.

Missouri improved to 4-0 and Nevada is winless in three games.

Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick completed 16-of-28 for 145 yards and a touchdown. He was sacked three times.
