TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Greg McElroy threw three touchdown passes Saturday to lead third-ranked Alabama to a 35-7 victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks.
McElroy completed 17-of-24 for 291 yards and Mark Ingram had both a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown for the Crimson Tide (4-0, 1-0 SEC).
Ryan Mallett was 12-for-35 with 160 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Razorbacks (1-2, 0-2). Greg Childs caught the pass for the lone Arkansas TD.
Trailing by 14 points at halftime, Arkansas stopped Alabama to start the second half and closed the gap to seven points with a five-play drive capped by an 18-yard touchdown catch by Childs. But Alabama needed only one play after the ensuing kickoff as Marquis Maze raced down the right sideline with a reception for an 80-yard TD.
