Vancouver Canucks cut Parrish

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Ten-year NHL veteran forward Mark Parrish has been released by the Vancouver Canucks.

Parrish, 32, had eight goals and five assists in 44 games for Dallas last season. He has 216 goals and 385 points in 704 career regular-season games with Dallas, Minnesota, Los Angeles, the New York Rangers and Florida.

The Minnesota native's best year was 2001-02 with the Islanders, when he scored 30 goals and notched 30 assists in 78 games.
