NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Houston quarterback Matt Schaub was named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week Wednesday when the NFL announced its weekly honorees.
Schaub completed 25-of-39 passes (64.1 percent) for 357 yards with four touchdowns, leading the Texans to a 34-31 win over Tennessee, their second ever against the Titans.
It was the second career POW Award for the six-year veteran, a University of Virginia product.
Other AFC honorees were Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Antwan Odom and Buffalo place-kicker Rian Lindell (special teams).
Odom compiled six tackles and a career-high five sacks in the Bengals' 31-24 win over the Green Bay Packers and is the first player to make seven sacks in the first two games of a season.
Lindell went 4-for-4 in field goals and booted three extra points, helping the Bills to a 33-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It is the first Player of the Week Award for Odom and the second for Lindell.
