DALLAS, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Cowboys running back Marion Barber is going to miss a game or two with a thigh injury, KXAS-TV in Dallas reported Tuesday.

The NFL team hasn't disclosed what effect the quadriceps injury will have on Barber's prospects for playing at home Monday against Carolina or the following Sunday at Denver.

Barber, who was hurt late in Sunday night's loss to the New York Giants, has 203 yards and two scores on 32 carries. He also has caught two passes for 31 yards.

Barber is backed up by Tashard Choice and Felix Jones.

Also Tuesday, the Cowboys signed running back Chauncey Washington to the practice squad and released fullback Julius Crosslin.
