Houston to host men's Final Four in 2011

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Houston will host the men's Final Four basketball tournament in 2011, the NCAA announced Monday.

The announcement said the 2012 Final Four will be played at the Superdome in New Orleans and the 2013 event in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

The NCAA also announced host cities for other rounds in 2011, 2012 and 2013. The first and second rounds in 2011 will be in Denver; Tampa, Fla.; Tucson; Washington; Charlotte, N.C.; Chicago; Cleveland; and Tulsa, Okla. The regional semifinals and finals are set for Anaheim, Calif.; New Orleans; Newark, N.J; and San Antonio.

In 2012, Boston, Phoenix, Atlanta and St. Louis will host the regional semifinals and finals.

In 2013, the 75th anniversary of the championship, the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium will host the South Regional semifinals and finals, the Staples Center in Los Angeles will host the West and Indianapolis the Midwest. The sites of the East Regional semifinals and finals are still undecided.
