Tommie Harris' wife dies

SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Frank Gore ran for touchdowns of 79 and 80 yards and totaled 207 yards rushing Sunday, carrying the San Francisco 49ers past the Seattle Seahawks 23-10.
Gore also caught five passes for 39 yards.
Shaun Hill completed 19-of-26 passes for 144 yards and Joe Nedney kicked field goals of 37, 42 and 39 yards for San Francisco (2-0).
Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck passed for 97 yards before leaving the game with a rib injury in the first half. His replacement, Seneca Wallace, completed 15-of-23 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.
Justin Forsett ran for 35 yards and added 57 yards receiving for the Seahawks (1-1).
