NFL: Cincinnati 31, Green Bay 24

GREEN BAY, Wis., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Carson Palmer threw three touchdown passes and Cedric Benson ran for 141 yards Sunday, pacing a 31-24 Cincinnati Bengals victory over the Green Bay Packers.

Palmer was 15-of-23 for 185 yards passing and also ran for a 1-yard score. His 13-yard pass to Chad Ochocinco with 1:09 left in the third quarter sent the Bengals (1-1) ahead to stay.

Laveranues Coles and Chris Henry each caught a 5-yard touchdown pass and Antwan Odom turned in five sacks for Cincinnati.

Aaron Rodgers connected on 21-of-39 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown for Green Bay (1-1).

Charles Woodson had a 37-yard interception return for a score and Ryan Grant contributed a 4-yard touchdown run for the Packers.
