
KANSAS CITY, Kan., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- The Kansas City Wizards kept their MLS playoff chances alive Saturday with a 3-2 win over visiting FC Dallas.
Jimmy Conrad scored the game-winner for Kansas City (8-11-6) in the 80th minute. The goal was Conrad's first of the season.
With the win, K.C. has 30 points after 25 games, while FCD falls to 7-12-6 for 27 points after 25 games.
Santiago Hirsig scored the game's first goal in the ninth minute to give the Wizards an early lead. Dax McCarty tied the score for Dallas just before the break with a long-range shot past Wizards goalkeeper Dario Sala.
The Hoops went up 2-1 less than 10 minutes after the break when David Ferreira stole the ball and relayed to Jeff Cunningham for an easy tap-in from 6 yards out. The Wizards tied the score again in the 77th minute when Josh Wolff scored his 10th goal of the season.
