ATLANTA, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Javier Vazquez threw seven shutout innings and Matt Diaz hit a two-run homer to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 6-4 win over Philadelphia.

Vazquez (14-9) took the win Saturday by holding Philadelphia to three hits and three walks while striking out six.

Adam LaRoche went 2-for-2 with a walk and drove in two for Atlanta.

Phillies starter Pedro Martinez (5-1) took the loss after giving up three runs on seven hits in three innings.

Martinez was removed after throwing warm-ups prior to the fourth because of stiffness in his neck. Chad Durbin replaced Martinez and allowed three runs, with two earned, in 2 2/3 frames, as Philadelphia had a six-game winning streak snapped.
