Florida stays atop the BCS poll

LA JOLLA, Calif., Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Na Yeon Choi lost a big lead but sank a 4-foot birdie putt on the final hole Sunday and won the LPGA Samsung World Championship in California by a stroke.
Choi, who had led by seven shots, closed with a 1-under-par 71 for an overall score of 16-under 272 at the Torrey Pines course. The win was her first on the tour.
Ai Miyazato (69) finished second at 273. Miyazato had a share of the lead before Choi rolled in the winning putt.
Jiyai Shin (74) was third at 277. Lorena Ochoa (71), a two-time winner of the event, and Paula Creamer (71) were next at 279.
