LA JOLLA, Calif., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- South Korea's Na Yeon Choi shot a 9-under 63 Saturday for a two-stroke lead at the women's Samsung World Championship.

Choi, 21, had a 6-under 30 on the front nine and wound up 54 holes at 15-under 201.

She had the best round of the day by seven shots and was the only player to break 70 until both of those in the final pairing, Jiyai Shin and Ai Miyazato, posted 68s. Shin lost the lead for the first time in three rounds, finishing two shots behind at 13-under 203. Miyazato was another stroke back at 12-under 204.

Defending champion Paula Creamer (70) and two-time Samsung winner Lorena Ochoa (72) trailed Choi by seven shots at 208.

Choi finished one shot off tying the tournament scoring record of 62, set by Grace Park, and Park's three-round total of 200 in 2004.
