Tommie Harris' wife dies

PROVO, Utah, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Christian Ponder passed for two touchdowns and ran for another Saturday to help Florida State surprise ninth-ranked Brigham Young 54-28.
Ponder finished with 193 yards on 21-of-26 throws and added 82 yards on the ground, while Lonnie Pryor rushed for two scores for the Seminoles, who outgained the Cougars, 316-108, on the ground. Ty Jones rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown for Florida State (2-1).
Max Hall threw three interceptions in a 19-for-30 effort, but passed for 304 yards and two touchdowns for BYU (2-1), which had its highest ranking since 1996.
Harvey Unga rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown for BYU.
