LARGO, Md., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West faces weapons and traffic charges after being arrested by authorities in Prince Georges County, Md.
A police spokesman told The Washington Post West, a Brandywine, Md., resident, was pulled over Thursday night near the Largo area when his three-wheeled motorcycle cut off a police cruiser on Interstate 95 near state Route 214.
Police said he was found with a 9mm Beretta handgun in his waist band, a Ruger .357, and a shotgun inside a guitar case hanging on his back.
West, 26, was charged with speeding and two counts of carrying a handgun, which Maj. Andy Ellis, a police department spokesman, said West told them about when he was pulled over.
He has been released on personal recognizance, but no details have been given about why he was carrying so much firepower.
