Benn Barham holds his Austrian Open lead

VIENNA, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- England's Benn Barham's 5-under-par 66 Friday helped him maintain his lead halfway through the European Tour's Austrian Open in Vienna.

He increased his lead by one stroke after Thursday's 8-under 63, and his bogey-less second round included five birdies.

Barham's 36-hole total, 13-under 129, leads Australia's Richard Green by two strokes at Vienna's Fontana Golf Club. "You never know what will happen in this game (but) with the way my season is going I needed a different direction to freshen things up."

Barham, who is seeking his first tournament victory, has benefited by working with a new coach starting this week.

Green also shot 5-under 66, and at 11-under 131, is alone in second place.

Scotland's Scott Drummond (68) is third at 10-under 132, while three others are 9-under 133, tied for fourth.
