
ATLANTA, Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Adam LaRoche went 4-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI Tuesday to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 6-0 win over the New York Mets.
Tommy Hanson (10-3) struck out eight, walked three and scattered three hits in seven innings in the eighth straight start in which he allowed no more than three earned runs. The rookie right-hander hasn't allowed a run in his last 15 innings and had 15 strikeouts in those two outings.
LaRoche also doubled twice and scored four runs. Nate McLouth had a two-run single and an RBI double and Omar Infante was 3-for-4 with a run scored in the win.
Pat Misch (1-3) was charged with four runs on eight hits in five innings and Daniel Murphy had two of New York's four hits. It was the Mets' seventh loss in their last nine games.
