VIRGINIA WATER, England, Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Tiger Woods extended his streak as the world's top-rated golfer to 223 consecutive weeks following his 8-stroke win at the BWM Championship outside Chicago.
Woods took control of the tournament with a course-record 62 Saturday. The victory was the 71st of his PGA career, which is third best all-time on the PGA victory list. He trails Sam Snead, who won 82 times, and Jack Nicklaus, who had 73 wins. He has been No. 1 for the last 223 weeks and 565 weeks overall.
