GLENDALE, Ariz., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Frank Gore scored two touchdowns and Joe Nedney kicked two field goals Sunday, carrying the San Francisco 49ers past the Arizona Cardinals 20-16.
Gore ran for a 6-yard TD and caught a pass from Shaun Hill on a 3-yard scoring play.
Nedney booted field goals from 37 and 50 yards.
Shaun Hill completed 18-of-31 passes for 209 yards for the 49ers (1-0).
Kurt Warner was 26-of-44 for 288 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions for Arizona (0-1).
