CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Donovan McNabb passed for two touchdowns and ran for a third before he was injured Sunday in a 38-10 Philadelphia Eagles rout of the Carolina Panthers.

McNabb completed 4-yard TD tosses to Brent Celek and Brian Westbrook and scored on a 3-yard third-quarter run, which left him lying in the end zone with an apparent rib injury.

The veteran quarterback was able to walk off the field but didn't play after that.

DeSean Jackson returned a punt 85 yards for another touchdown for Philadelphia (1-0).

Jake Delhomme was intercepted four times and lost a fumble for Carolina (1-0).

DeAngelo Williams ran 11 yards for the Panthers' only touchdown.
