
PHOENIX, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Alcides Escobar's two hits and two RBI Sunday led Milwaukee to a 5-3 win over Arizona and a three-game sweep.
His biggest hit, a two-run single, gave Milwaukee a 3-2 lead with one out in the top of the seventh.
One of two hits by Prince Fielder was a solo homer, his 39th this season.
Felipe Lopez also had two hits and one RBI, while Mike Cameron hit an RBI single in the four-run seventh for the Brewers, who were swept at home by St. Louis before heading to Phoenix.
Winner Carlos Villanueva (3-10) pitched two 1-2-3 relief innings.
Closer Trevor Hoffman pitched a perfect ninth for his 32nd save.
Arizona scored on Chris Young's two-run, fourth-inning homer and a seventh-inning single by Ryan Roberts.
Five others had one hit for the Diamondbacks, who have lost nine of 10.
The losing pitcher was reliever Daniel Schlereth (0-4).
