Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Stafon Johnson scored with 1:05 left Saturday to give third-ranked Southern California an 18-15 victory over seventh-ranked Ohio State.
Ohio State (1-1) scored a safety in the third quarter to give the Buckeyes the lead. But the Trojans (2-0) took over at their own 14 midway through the final quarter and sustained a long drive capped by Johnson's TD and a two- point conversion.
Johnson rushed for 50 yards and two TDs on 11 carries, while freshman quarterback Matt Barkley passed for 195 yards on 15-of-31 completions for the Trojans.
Terrelle Pryor passed for 176 yards on 11-of-25 completions for the Buckeyes. Daniel Herron ran for 44 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
