
DETROIT, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill's late two-run homer Saturday boosted the Toronto Blue Jays to an 8-6 win over the slumping Detroit Tigers.
The homer, Hill's only hit, came with two outs in the top of the ninth, and was his 32nd this season.
One of two hits by Rod Barajas was a two-run homer.
Marco Scutaro had three hits, one a solo homer, and two RBI.
Vernon Wells had three hits and an RBI, and a run scored on Brandon Lyon's eighth-inning wild pitch for the Blue Jays, who have won three straight.
Winner Brandon League (3-5) hurled two scoreless relief innings, and Jason Frasor earned his 10th save.
Detroit was led by Miguel Cabrera's three-run homer.
Alex Avila hit a two-run shot and Curtis Granderson a solo homer for the Tigers, who have lost five straight.
The losing pitcher was Fernando Rodney (2-4).
