MLB: Tampa Bay at Boston, ppd., rain

BOSTON, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- The scheduled game between Tampa Bay and Boston was postponed Friday due to rain.

It is to be made up Sunday as part of a doubleheader, with the first game beginning at noon EDT.

Friday's game got started and Tampa Bay quickly loaded the bases with one out against Jon Lester in the first inning. The rain, however, became too heavy for the game to continue and it was postponed more than two hours later.
