ST. LOUIS, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Brian McCann's late two-run double Saturday led Atlanta to a 7-6 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
His third hit gave Atlanta its one-run lead with no outs in the top of the ninth against St. Louis closer Ryan Franklin (2-3), the losing pitcher.
Nate McLouth had three hits and an RBI.
Starter Tim Hudson hit a two-run homer. And before Chipper Jones was injured while running the bases in the ninth, he added two hits for the Braves, who have won three straight and four of five.
The winner was Mike Gonzalez (4-4).
Closer Rafael Soriano pitched a 1-2-3 ninth, earning his 24th save.
St. Louis got two hits and one RBI apiece from Brendan Ryan and Colby Rasmus.
Matt Holliday, Yadier Molina, Joe Thurston and Mark DeRosa had one RBI each for the Cardinals, who have split their last six games.
Their manager, Tony La Russa was ejected in the seventh for arguing balls and strikes.
