COL FB: Virginia Tech 52, Marshall 10

BLACKSBURG, Va., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Ryan Williams amassed 164 yards and three touchdowns on just 16 carries Saturday in No. 15 Virginia Tech's 52-10 rout of Marshall.

Tyrod Taylor passed for 161 yards and two scores and added 58 yards on the ground for the Hokies (1-1). David Wilson rushed for 165 yards and a TD on 12 carries.

Danny Coale added a 43-yard catch and Dyrell Roberts and Xavier Boyce each had a TD reception for Virginia Tech.

Brian Anderson had 116 yards on 15-of-31 passes for the Thundering Herd (1-1). Darius Marshall ran 109 yards and scored a TD on 17 carries.
