PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Rookie Portland Trail Blazers forward Jeff Pendergraph is recovering from hip surgery that will sideline him for 10-12 weeks.

Pendergraph, the 31st overall draft pick who was signed by Portland Tuesday, had the operation Wednesday to fix a left hip impingement. Portland acquired his rights in a draft-day deal with Sacramento.

Pendergraph averaged 12.6 points and 7.5 rebounds in four seasons at Arizona State.
