CNN suspends Martin for Super Bowl tweets

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif., Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Jeff Sluman won the Wal-Mart First Tee Open in California for the second straight year Sunday, finishing at 10-under-par 206, two shots ahead of Gene Jones.
Sluman had a 4-under 68 in the final round at Pebble Beach.
Jones closed with a 70 for 208.
"It was very difficult out there with the wind, and the greens were like concrete," Sluman said. "But I just tried to play solid golf."
The win was the third on the Champions Tour for Sluman, 51.
Sluman won $315,000.
Tom Lehman (73) and Mark O'Meara (75) tied for third at 209.
