Tommie Harris' wife dies

BALTIMORE, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Baltimore right-hander Jeremy Guthrie scattered six hits over seven innings Sunday en route to a 7-0 Orioles win over the Texas Rangers.
Guthrie (10-13) has given up just four runs in his last four starts, pitching 27 innings during that span.
Brian Roberts, Jeff Florentino and Chad Moeller each drove in two runs and Ty Wigginton scored three for the Orioles.
Derek Holland (7-10) took the loss. Holland worked just 3 1/3 innings, giving up six runs and six hits.
