Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- The Philadelphia Eagles have released backup quarterback A.J. Feeley, the team said Sunday.
Feeley, 32, is a nine-year veteran whose role with Eagles had been uncertain after the team signed quarterback Michael Vick.
The Eagles also announced they had claimed defensive tackle Antonio Dixon off waivers from the Washington Redskins.
Feeley had been with the Eagles since 2006 and also played for them from 2001 to 2003. In between, he was a member of the Miami Dolphins.
Feeley has completed 55.9 percent of his passes, totaling 4, 079 yards with 27 touchdowns and 29 interceptions, in 23 NFL games
Dixon, a rookie, originally signed with Washington this year.
