COL FB: Mississippi 45, Memphis 14

MEMPHIS, Sept. 6 (UPI) -- Quarterback Jevan Snead passed for two touchdowns for No. 8 Mississippi Sunday in a 45-14 Rebels victory over Memphis, opening the season for both teams.

Snead connected on 12-of-22 passes for 175 yards and was intercepted twice.

Brandon Bolden, Dexter McCluster, Enrique Davis and Markeith Summers were among Rebels scoring touchdowns.

Curtis Steele scored twice for Memphis.
