SEATTLE, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Rookie Mike Teel threw two touchdown passes Thursday and the Seattle Seahawks completed a perfect exhibition season by downing Oakland 31-21.
Seattle joined Miami and Baltimore with unblemished pre-season records. San Francisco and Minnesota will attempt to join them Friday when the 49ers meet San Diego and the Vikings take on Dallas.
Starting Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck did not see action Thursday. Instead, Teel got most of the work and completed 11-of-19 for 148 yards without an interception.
He opened the scoring with a 22-yard pass to Deon Butler midway through the first period and then tossed a 38-yard touchdown to Ben Obomanu in the second to put the Seahawks in front for good.
Seattle built a 31-7 lead before Oakland's Gary Russell scored on fourth-quarter runs of 6 and 2 yards.
Oakland, which gave up 31 first-half points in a 45-7 loss to New Orleans last week, finished the exhibition campaign at 1-3.
The Raiders will host San Diego to open their season. Seattle's opener will come at home against St. Louis.
