BALTIMORE, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Scott Feldman extended his scoreless streak to 17 innings Friday and carried Texas to its fourth straight victory -- 5-1 over Baltimore.

Feldman (15-4) gave up a run on four hits over 6 2/3 innings to win his sixth straight decision.

Rookie sensation Neftali Feliz worked the final 2 1/3 innings to pick up his second save. Feliz, who has allowed only one run in 22 innings this season, retired all seven men he faced.

Chris Davis doubled home two runs during a three-run fourth and Nelson Cruz added his 31st home run of the season in the sixth.

Texas opened the night's action trailing Boston by 2 1/2 games in the American League wild card race. The Rangers were also 3 1/2 games behind the Los Angeles Angels for the lead in the AL West.
