HOUSTON, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Wandy Rodriguez threw seven shutout innings Friday and Houston gave Cliff Lee his second straight rough outing in blanking Philadelphia 7-0.

Lee (12-11) had been outstanding since being acquired by the Phillies in a July 29 trade with Cleveland, but gave up six runs on 10 hits in five innings against Atlanta last weekend.

In Lee's sixth start for the Phillies, Houston got to him for six runs on nine hits in just three innings.

Rodriguez helped his own cause with a two-run double in the second and then scored on a double by Kazuo Matsui.

Hunter Pence added a two-run homer in the third and Carlos Lee had a solo shot in the fifth to complete the scoring.

Rodriguez (13-9) gave up seven hits and struck out seven while throwing 111 pitches. Tim Byrdak and Doug Brocail worked an inning each to complete the shutout.
