NASHVILLE, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Vince Young scored both running and passing in the second quarter Thursday, pacing the Tennessee Titans to a 27-13 exhibition decision over Green Bay.

Young, trying to regain his status as a potential NFL star, was good on 7-of-12 passes for 85 yards and had five carries for 38 more.

He drove the Titans 80 yards in 14 plays early in the second quarter and scored at the end of the march on a 6-yard run. On Tennessee's next possession, he directed a 56-yard drive that ended with an 8-yard scoring throw to Dominique Edison.

Kerry Collins, who will start at quarterback for Tennessee when the season opens, failed to complete a pass in three attempts while playing one series.

Tennessee took a 20-3 halftime lead and gave up only one touchdown, that coming on a 5-yard run by Kregg Lumpkin in the third period.

The loss was the only one for Green Bay in four exhibition contests. The Packers begin their season at home against Chicago in a Sunday night game.

Tennessee (3-2) starts at Pittsburgh next Thursday in the first game of the NFL season.
