
DENVER, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- David Wright's three hits and three RBI Thursday led the New York Mets to an 8-3 win over Colorado.
His two-run double gave New York a 4-0 lead with one out in the top of the fifth, and his seventh-inning sacrifice fly made it 6-0.
Angel Pagan had three hits and one RBI.
Daniel Murphy had two hits -- one a solo homer -- and two RBI.
Jeff Francoeur and Cory Sullivan had one RBI each, while Josh Thole and Anderson Hernandez added two hits each for the Mets, who had lost four of five.
Winner Pat Misch (1-1) gave up two runs and just four hits in seven innings in his first major league victory.
Chris Iannetta led Colorado with two hits, including a solo homer.
Ian Stewart and Clint Barmes also hit solo homers for the Rockies, who have lost six of nine.
The losing pitcher was Jason Marquis (14-10).
