DENVER, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Denver Broncos Coach Josh McDaniels says the NFL team is not trying to trade suspended wide receiver Brandon Marshall.
The Broncos suspended Marshall last Friday for detrimental insubordinate actions during a team practice before a pre-season contest against the Chicago Bears.
It followed his acquittal earlier the same day on domestic violence charges against ex-girlfriend, Rasheedah Watley.
"We're looking forward to having Brandon back on Sept. 6 and starting our preparations for Cincinnati with him," McDaniels told reporters Wednesday. "There's no discussions whatsoever taking place between the Denver Broncos and any team in the NFL regarding Brandon Marshall."
ESPN was among numerous media reporting this week that the 6-foot-4 inch, 230-pounder is on the trading block and that Denver is monitoring the New York Jets for possibly speaking with him, a league violation.
Last season, he caught 104 passes for 1,265 yards with six touchdowns.
