MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- Gordon Beckham and Paul Konerko hit ninth-inning homers Wednesday, helping the Chicago White Sox record a 4-2 win over the Minnesota Twins.

The White Sox averted a three-game sweep in Minnesota by snapping their five-game losing streak.

They faced a 2-0 deficit before Beckham and Konerko hit back-to-back homers off Minnesota closer Joe Nathan with two outs in the ninth. Later, Alexei Ramirez hit an RBI single and a run scored on Matt Guerrier's wild pitch, making Nathan (2-2) the losing pitcher.

Konerko had two of Chicago's eight hits.

The winning pitcher was D.J. Carrasco (5-1).

Bobby Jenks earned his 28th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

One of two hits by Jason Kubel, a single, scored both Minnesota runs with two outs in the bottom of the sixth.

Denard Span added three hits for the Twins, who fell four games back of AL Central-leading Detroit.
