Agent: 'Barry Bonds will never play again'
Thursday, December 10
TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Free-agent left wing Alex Tanguay officially became a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning Tuesday.
The NHL club didn't reveal how much it will pay the 29-year-old winger or how long the deal is for.
Tanguay scored 16 goals and had 25 assists in 50 games for Montreal last year before separating a shoulder in a Dec. 30 game against Tampa Bay that caused him to miss 28 games.
The former first-round draft pick helped Colorado win the 2001 Stanley Cup. He was traded to Calgary following the 2005-06 season and spent the next two years there before being traded to Montreal.
Tanguay has 193 goals and 580 points in 659 games.
