MLB: New York Yankees 9, Baltimore 6

BALTIMORE, Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Jorge Posada homered twice and Nick Swisher, Eric Hinske and Robinson Cano each homered once Tuesday in the New York Yankees' 9-6 win over Baltimore.

Swisher and Hinske both homered in the seventh inning, and Cano's homer was a two-run shot for the Yankees, who have won five straight.

Luke Scott hit a three-run homer for Baltimore, which has lost four of its last six games. Felix Pie also homered for the Orioles.

A.J. Burnett started for the Yankees and allowed six runs and 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Damaso Marte (1-1) got the win in relief.

Baltimore starter David Hernandez gave up five runs on four hits with seven strikeouts and six walks over five innings. Reliever Chris Ray (0-3) took the loss.
