Blanton (9-6) allowed three hits, walked four and struck out seven.
Chase Utley hit his 29th home run, Carlos Ruiz had two doubles and two RBI and Ryan Howard had two hits for the Phillies, who have won 10 of their last 14 games.
Brad Lidge picked up his 27th save.
Martin Prado had three hits, including a home run, for the Braves, who trail Philadelphia by eight games in the NL East and are 3 1/2 games back of the San Francisco Giants and the Colorado Rockies in the NL wild-car chase.
Atlanta starter Jair Jurrjens (10-9) took the loss, giving up three runs on seven hits with two walks in seven innings.
With the score tied 1-1, Raul Ibanez walked to lead off the bottom of the seventh for the Phillies and then went to third after Chipper Jones' throwing error on a bunt by Pedro Feliz, who went to second on the play. Ruiz drove in Ibanez and Feliz with a double to the left field warning track that Garret Anderson got a glove on but was unable to catch.
