Daric Barton hit the go-ahead RBI groundout in the eighth for Oakland, which has won two of three in the four-game series against the Angels.

Oakland starter Vin Mazzaro gave up three runs over five innings, and Brad Ziegler (2-4) pitched a scoreless seventh inning and got the win.

Jered Weaver gave up no runs in six innings for the Angels, but the bullpen proved much less effective. Jose Arredondo pitched a third of an inning and was charged with three runs -- one of them on a wild pitch. Rafael Rodriguez (0-1), who pitched 2 2/3 innings, surrendered the game-winning run and took the loss.

Maicer Izturis slammed a two-run homer, one of his two hits for the Angels, who have lost seven of their last 10 games. The loss cut the Angels' lead in the AL West to four games over Texas.
