SEATTLE, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Kansas City's Zack Greinke tossed a one-hitter in his sixth complete game of the season Sunday and the Royals beat the Seattle Mariners 3-0.
Greinke,13-8 with a 2.32 ERA, tops in the American League, allowed only a second-inning single by Kenji Johjima.
The Royals got all their runs in the fifth inning. Miguel Olivo singled in a run to start the scoring. David DeJesus singled in another run and scored the third on a wild-pitch.
Loser Ryan Rowland-Smith (2-2) worked eight innings, giving up three runs and five hits, with seven strikeouts.
