MLB: Arizona 9, Houston 0

PHOENIX, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Justin Upton had three hits with a solo homer, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday to lead Arizona to a 9-0 victory over Houston.

Jon Garland (8-11) gave up five hits in seven scoreless innings for the Diamondbacks, who have won three in a row.

Mark Reynolds had a two-run homer, Miguel Montero a three-run double and Ryan Roberts two runs and an RBI for Arizona.

Bud Norris (3-3) allowed six runs on five hits with four walks in five innings to take the loss for the Astros, who were shut out for the 10th time this season.
