
PHOENIX, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Justin Upton hit a solo homer and drove in two runs Sunday, leading the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 4-3 win over Houston and a three-game sweep.
The homer, Upton's 22nd this season, broke a 1-1 tie with no outs in the bottom of the sixth. His seventh-inning groundout drove in what turned out to be the game-winning run.
John Hester had two hits and one RBI and Ryan Roberts added an RBI single for the Diamondbacks, who have won four in a row and five of seven.
Winner Dan Haren (13-8) surrendered three runs and six hits in seven innings with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Closer Chad Qualls earned his 24th save by retiring the final four batters.
Lance Berkman led Houston with two RBI. Jeff Keppinger drove in a run, but no batter had more than one hit for the Astros, who have lost six of seven.
The losing pitcher was starter Wandy Rodriguez (12-9). He gave up four runs on seven hits over six innings with three walks and seven strikeouts.
