MONTREAL, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Carl Edwards won Sunday's Nationwide NAPA Auto Parts 200 at Montreal when Marcos Ambrose overshot the final corner on the last lap.

On a rain-slicked course in a rare Sunday Nationwide race, Edwards safely passed Ambrose in a green-white-checkered finish, giving him three Nationwide wins this season.

Ambrose, the pole winner, led for 60 of the race's 76 laps but failed for a third straight year to win at Montreal. He finished second, followed by Canadians Andrew Ranger and Jacques Villeneuve in third and fourth, with Brad Keselowski completing the top-five.

With the victory, Edwards cut Kyle Busch's Nationwide lead to 192 points.

Busch was 10th after a spinout on the final re-start.
