SEATTLE, Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Toronto FC and Seattle played to a scoreless tie Saturday in a Major League Soccer contest at Qwest Field in Seattle.

The Reds (8-8-7) failed to capture a much-needed road victory and will need help to qualify for the post-season.

They failed to score despite five solid chances in the first half, but only one shot on goal.

The Sounders (8-6-10) had four shots on goal, two by both Le Toux and Freddie Ljungberg, while Osvaldo attempted a bicycle kick in stoppage time.

Seattle's home scoreless streak rose to 314 straight minute.

The Sounders have won just once in their last seven outings (1-3-3).
