PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- David Akers kicked his fourth field goal with 15 seconds left Thursday, giving Philadelphia a 33-32 exhibition win over Jacksonville in Michael Vick's return.
Vick played his first game in 32 months after serving a prison term for a dog-fighting conviction.
Before starting the game against Jacksonville Thursday, Vick made a morning appearance in a Virginia bankruptcy court to show a judge his plan to pay off $20 million in debt.
The judge approved the plan, and Vick headed back to Philadelphia, where he completed all four of his passes for 19 yards while playing only in the first period. His lone scoring drive was of 68 yards and ended with the first field goal for Akers.
Philadelphia fell behind 17-6 at halftime, thanks chiefly to two lost fumbles by 11-year veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb. One of them was returned 92 yards for a touchdown by Brian Iwuh with 4:37 to play in the second period.
McNabb threw a 3-yard scoring pass to Marcus Mailei late in the third period, but the Eagles still trailed 32-20.
Third-year quarterback Kevin Kolb then threw a 9-yard scoring pass to Reggie Brown with 7:05 to play, and Bryan Smith's interception two plays later set up a 35-yard Akers field goal.
Jacksonville could not make a first down after the ensuing kickoff, and Philadelphia moved 64 yards in the final two minutes to get the winning field goal of 34 yards.
Philadelphia is 1-2 in the exhibition season, and Jacksonville is winless in its three games.
