Moore jumps 48 places in world rankings

VIRGINIA WATER, England, Aug. 24 (UPI) -- Ryan Moore gained 48 places to No. 73 in the world golf rankings following his first PGA Tour victory.

Moore defeated Kevin Stadler and Jason Bohn in a playoff Sunday at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C.

Tiger Woods is No. 1 for the 220th consecutive week. Woods has held the top spot for a total of 562 weeks in his career.

The rest of the Top 10 remains the same with Phil Mickelson No. 2, followed, in order, by Paul Casey, Kenny Perry, Henrik Stenson, Steve Stricker, Sergio Garcia, Geoff Ogilvy, Lee Westwood and Stewart Cink .

Padraig Harrington, Martin Kaymer, Vijay Singh, Jim Furyk and Lucas Glover hold the 11 to 16 spots.
