Tommie Harris' wife dies

WASHINGTON, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Adam Dunn hit his 33rd homer of the season and Ryan Zimmerman pounded a two-run shot Sunday, boosting Washington to an 8-3 win over Milwaukee.
Dunn's leadoff blast gave Washington a 6-1 lead in the bottom of the third.
Zimmerman's homer in the fourth was one of his three hits in the game. Ronnie Belliard added two RBI and Cristian Guzman drove in a run and scored three for the Nationals, who broke a five-game losing streak.
Winner Craig Stammen (4-6) gave up three runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
Milwaukee's Alcides Escobar hit a solo homer and Jody Gerut and Felipe Lopez each had an RBI.
The losing pitcher was starter Manny Parra (8-10).
